FIELD: systems controlling movement of mobile objects. SUBSTANCE: converter includes case, spherical joint and eddy-current transducer of clearances. Spherical joint has mobile member made of two displaced spherical conducting parts. Novelty of converter lies in presence of cylindrical cavity in spherical mobile member. Semi- cylindrical groove is made in bottom of cavity. Semi-cylindrical mobile block is placed in semi-cylindrical groove. Semi-cylindrical groove is cut in center of rectangular flat surface of block. This groove houses semi-cylindrical part of supporting member fixed in space of case. Ergonomic characteristics of converter are improved and reliability of control is enhanced thanks to elimination of possibility of turn of spherical member and handle coupled to it about own axis.
