DRY PACK MORTAR Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering, in particular building materials base on composite lime-cement binder; mortar mix for finish plastering.

SUBSTANCE: claimed dry pack mortar contains limestone sand containing 90-95 mass % of CaCO₃, having particle size from 0.001 to 0.8 mm as filler. Said filler represents waste from production of limestone grade, which is fed into backing step in calcium oxide manufacturing. Limestone sand according to grade size is used in the next ratio (mass %): grade 0.001-0.09 mm - 15,0-18,5; grade 0.09-0.8 mm - 35.0-39.0; grade 0.8-1.2 mm - 22.0-27.0; grade 1.2-2.0 mm - 19.0-22.0. More particularly, dry pack mortar contains (mass %): Portland cement 23.5-25.5; said limestone sand 73.87-76.13; calcium stearate 0.25-0.45; methylcellulose 0.10-0.15; hydroxypropyl starch 0.02-0.03.

EFFECT: mortar mix for surface finishing of high quality with high adhesion, moisture retaining quality, weather resistance, shrinkage and cracking resistance and low prime cost.
