FIELD: individual protection equipment, particularly to protect human respiratory organs against radioactive aerosols, biological aerosols, dust, microelements and hazardous gases.
SUBSTANCE: gas exchange device has channels, inspiratory and expiratory valves, breathing bag and gas-exchange module made of track-etched membranes. The membranes form through alternating channels for atmospheric and inner air having equal widths and characterized with equal pressure drops along channel lengths. Gas-exchange device comprises means creating excessive pressure in channel for atmospheric air. Track-etched membrane dimensions are less than that of hazardous particles and microorganisms. Height of channel for atmospheric air exceeds that for inner air, wherein channel heights and capacity of means for creating excessive pressure are chosen to provide volumetric rate between channels for atmospheric air and channels for inner air W2/W1>10, to maintain laminar flow regime inside channel for inner air and to maintain turbulent flow regime in channel for atmospheric air.
EFFECT: possibility to regenerate expired air in one pass thereof through gas-exchange module, simplified gas-exchanging module structure, reduced size and weight thereof.
