SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a breathing simulator. The simulator contains a container, an inhalation tube with a one-way valve and an exhalation tube with a one-way valve, forming a closed circuit. An intermediate tube is connected to the junction of the inhalation tube and the exhalation tube at one end, and a mask is connected to the other end. A breathing bag is attached to the container, configured to change its volume. An air dehumidifier and a chemical carbon dioxide absorber are installed inside the container. The air dehumidifier is designed to condense and freeze water vapor and is separated from the carbon dioxide absorber by a gas-permeable membrane. The intermediate tube is made with the possibility of changing its length, and the closed loop contains an opening with an adjustable diameter to control the suction of ambient air during inhalation and the release of excess air during exhalation. The inhalation tube is connected to the container through an antibacterial and antiviral filter.

EFFECT: increasing of the efficiency of controlling the content of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the breathing simulator, increasing of the degree of drying and cooling of exhaled air, as well as improving the possibility of using the breathing simulator for adaptation to hypoxia and high-altitude pre-acclimatization, as well as for training hypoxic-hypercapnic breathing.
