FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electromagnetic pumps using electromagnet as drive or power element supplied by reservoir capacitor. Proposed electromagnetic pump has electromagnet, water pump housing in form of cylinder, cup with ports and armature with threaded hole. Rod of pump is turned by its threaded part into threaded hole of armature. Piston with intake valve is secured on other end of rod. Working spring is fitted on rod and it thrusts by one end against piston, and by other end, against adjusting nut on thread of thrust bushing fitted on rod from side of armature and thrusting against housing of electromagnet. Winding is arranged in electromagnet housing. Supply pipe with fitted-in outlet valve is connected to water pump housing.

EFFECT: reduced energy consumed by electromagnetic pump, increased capacity of pump by changing its design and reducing inertia forces.
