SUBSTANCE: apparatus 20 for controlling pressing effort between rolls includes first roll 21 mounted with possibility of positioning it and at least one second roll 22. Such apparatus may be used in printing machine such as roll type rotation printing machine having at least one actuating organ 34, 50 for pressing out with controlled effort roll 21 towards roll 22. Apparatus 20 includes fixing unit (37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 43) for fixing roll 21 relative to roll 22.
