FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises heating mazut to 390°C, feeding it into vacuum column wherein mazut is separated into light and heavy vacuum gas oils, darkened product, which is recycled into starting material, and bottom residue. From the top of column, vapors of light hydrocarbons picked, which are condensed and thus obtained hydrocarbon concentrate is heated to 360°C and introduced under stripping section of vacuum column as hydrocarbon vaporizing agent.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of vaporizing agent and increased recovery of vacuum distillates.
