FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to labor protection, particularly, to vacuum pump noise silencers of milking plants. Proposed noise silencer consists of sections connected to each other inside which perforated channel is installed along central axis. Outer walls of channel are lined with noise absorbing material. Inlet and outlet branch pipes are connected to housing of sections through expansion semichambers. Perforated channel of each section is provided with expansion semichambers at its ends whose bases are covered over 0.5 of their area by screen partition of which noise absorbing material layer is secured from side of air flow, partitions being arranged in staggered order relative to each other.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of noise silencer.
