COMBINED UNIT FOR PLANTING GRASS IN TURF Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering; planting grass in turf during one pass of unit.

SUBSTANCE: proposed unit has frame with rear beam and bearing wheels, soil cultivating unit with active drive, sower with plowshares and packing unit and copying roll which is located on fixed shaft. Copying roll is sectional in construction. Rigidly secured in between its sections are plowshares which are adjustable in depth of raking-in the seeds. Rear wall of plowshare is provided with springing plate rigidly secured on it; width of this plate is equal to distance between duplicating rolls. Axes of plowshare and copying roll cross in projection on vertical plane at point of contact of copying roll with soil.

EFFECT: smooth raking-in of seeds due to independent copying of micro-roughness in terrain.
