FIELD: drum that may be used for winding long cables, possibly for vacuum cleaners.
SUBSTANCE: cable drum includes supporting plate relative to which mounted in bearing units drum housing rotates and braking rocker arm movable relative to supporting plate in radial direction. Elastic members are used for suspending cable drum in housing. Due to use of elastic members braking pulse is transmitted to housing in such a way that braking energy is converted to heat.
EFFECT: possibility for effective braking of cable drum.
