VORTEX-TYPE ACOUSTIC CLASSIFIER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: separation of finely dispersed materials; manufacture of building materials; mining and chemical industries; power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed classifier has housing with volute tightly mounted at the top; secured on this volute is electric drive of rotor on whose shaft impeller with blades is secured; housing is provided with truncated cones whose lesser bases are made at angle relative to level. Upper truncated cone is secured by its lesser base on truncated cone inside it changing into discharge branch pipe; lower truncated cone is provided with loading branch pipe. Arranged inside truncated cones is cone-shaped dust collector whose larger base is directed upward embracing the impeller; lesser base of said dust collector terminates in discharge branch pipe. Perforated partition made from gas-tight material is mounted in upper part of dust collector. Mounted over external perimeter of upper part of housing are at least three remote members consisting of three cylindrical chambers: equal-sized upper and lower chambers and central chamber of larger size. Lower base of central chamber is provided with unloading branch pipes. Upper and lower cylindrical chambers are connected with dust collector and upper part of classifier housing by means of branch pipes. Dust precipitation units are mounted on upper cylindrical chamber at the top and on lower cylindrical chamber at the bottom. Each dust precipitation unit includes truncated cones with holes on lateral surface. Truncated cones of lower dust precipitation unit are secured similarly on lower surfaces of lower and central chambers. Ratio of height of remote members and total height of classifier is equal to H_r.m.= (0.25-0.35)H_cl., where H_r.m. is height of remote member and H_cl. is total height of classifier.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of classification.
