METHOD FOR PRODUCING OF FIBERS FROM SECONDARY RAW MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: production of fibers from secondary aramide material to manufacture high-strength thermally stable yarn of low linear density from said fibers.

SUBSTANCE: method involves orienting secondary raw material formed as threads along one of axes of coordinates or orienting secondary textile material formed as fabric along axes of coordinates; cutting secondary textile material into individual lengths; processing with chemical reactant for facilitating separation of said lengths into component fibers and exposing to mechanical action; sorting resultant mixture of fibers and extracting fibers having length of 65-90 mm and linear density of 0.1-0.2 tex therefrom. Secondary textile material may be lengths of ballistic fabric which are cut into individual figures, or lengths of thermally processed threads or threads not subjected to processing, or lengths of thermally processed twisted complex threads.

EFFECT: improved quality of fibers suitable for manufacture of high-strength thermally stable fabrics of low linear density.
