FIELD: equipment for thermal processing of substances under high pressure.

SUBSTANCE: autoclave has spherical reservoir with charging opening, sealing closure with flange, sealing device, suspension handle, stop, and support. Charging opening is made oval-shaped and is equally truncated at diametrically opposite sides so as to define elastic deformation zones in the region adjoining truncated portions. Autoclave walls may have smaller thickness in elastic deformation zones, and autoclave walls adjoining charging opening may be formed from material having higher modulus of elasticity.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and improved safety of autoclave.
