FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for starting internal combustion engines and generation of power on board the automobile. Proposed automobile starter-generator contains thyratron motor with control controller, permanent magnets installed on flywheel and stator winding secured on crankcase. Flywheel is installed for movement relative to pack and windings of stator along axis of crankshaft. Pack of stator with windings is installed on crankcase by means of disk coaxially with flywheel and crankshaft. Plane of disk is parallel to plane of flywheel. High-voltage converter is placed at outlet of starter-generator whose control input is coupled with control controller through voltage regulator.
EFFECT: improved reliability, efficiency in operation and manufacturability and assembling of starter-generator.
