SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in stand-alone objects, particularly in automobiles for generating electric power and starting internal combustion engines. Starter generator is provided with a current sensor comprising a shunt in the input circuit of the inverter and a shunt signal amplifier, output of which is connected to the input of the current limiting unit, the output of which is connected to the input of the second comparator, the other input of which is connected to the output of the proportional-integral regulator of the rotational speed, and the output of the second comparator is connected to the analog input of the process controller.

EFFECT: technical effect: high reliability, resource of trouble-free operation of the starter-generator without increasing the dimensions and weight of the inverter in the starter mode of device operation.
