FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed unloading device contains hydraulic balancing device with vertical partition and cylindrical recesses and main and additional pairs of sliding rings. One ring is each is rotating, and the other is fixed. It has also cups connected to each other, and throttling slot between cups and cover of vertical partition hydraulically communicating with suction zone of last impeller. Hydraulic balancing device is furnished with leaf springs installed between walls of vertical partitions and rotating sliding rings. Slots are made on sections of spring and projections on periphery of end faces of rotating sliding rings. Slots on peripheral sections of springs interact with projections of rotation sliding rings, and slots on inner sections of springs, with pins on hub of vertical partition. Rotating sliding rings are installed with clearance in recesses of vertical partition, and sealing rings are fitted on. Contacting surfaces of sliding rings are provided with wedge-like curvilinear channels with narrow and deep sections at inlet and smoothly widening and decreasing in height at outlet. Direction of tilting of channels of sliding rings of main and additional pairs is opposite, and direction of tilting of channels of rotating sliding rings of main pair is opposite to direction of rotation of pump shaft.
