PROCESS LINE FOR DEGREASING, WASHING, AND DRYING COMPONENT PARTS OF FUEL ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2265901 C2

FIELD: nuclear power engineering; manufacture of fuel assemblies for nuclear reactors.

SUBSTANCE: proposed process line has its loading and unloading tables made in the firm of roll-tables assembled of rod-shaped rolls and provided with L-shaped platforms with up and down reciprocating drives, with bottoms of rod-shaped rolls and guides forming seats for hanger. Degreasing and washing baths are equipped with flotation trays disposed over perimeter on top part for collecting dirty oil and grease coming to surface and manifold for their discharge from bathes. Drying bath is provided with bottom and side holes for feeding dry hot air and side upflow suction mechanism. Degreasing, washing, and drying mechanisms are made in the form of L-shaped platforms with vertically reciprocating drives and seats for hangers formed in each bottom of L-shaped platforms from guides. Conveying mechanism is made of carriages displaced by means of horizontally stepping reciprocating pneumatic drives on enclosed guides disposed above charge table, degreasing, washing, and drying baths, and unloading table; each carriage mounts lock for its precise positioning above each treatment bath provided with relevant lug secured on closed guides. Carriage-to-hanger junction assembly is made for their automatic separation and jointing. Pneumatic cylinders are used as vertically reciprocating drives of L-shaped platforms. Conveying mechanism is provided with pusher engageable with carriage pawls. L-shaped platforms of loading and unloading tables are provided with their locking mechanisms. Hanger has hinged walls; cover carries two brackets with four supporting members disposed in respective slots of carriage, its width being smaller than distance between hanger brackets. All these mechanisms enable degreasing and washing component parts in adjacent baths, as well discharging products of degreasing and washing without reducing yield tempo and quality of manufacture.

EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
