METHOD FOR CLEANING OF SUNFLOWER SEEDS FROM WHITE MOLD SCLEROTIA AND LINE FOR EFFECTUATING THE SAME Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, cleaning and sorting of sunflower seeds.

SUBSTANCE: method involves primary cleaning of sunflower seeds followed by size separation of seeds into fractions; sorting out individually each fraction by density on pneumatic sorting table for separating seeds from light fraction; providing secondary cleaning of main seed yield and sorting it out by density for separating main seed yield from heavy fraction on other pneumatic sorting table, with white mold sclerotia being separated in conjunction with heavy fraction. Sunflower seed line has primary seed cleaning machine and machine for size separation of seeds into fractions. Pneumatic sorting table for separation of light fraction and secondary cleaning machine are positioned downstream of machine for separation of seeds into fractions. Other pneumatic sorting table is positioned downstream of secondary cleaning machine and adapted for separating heavy fraction and white mold sclerotia. Said method and line allow optimal operating mode to be selected for secondary cleaning machine and second pneumatic sorting table.

EFFECT: improved quality of seed material.
