FIELD: coupling and uncoupling space and rocket objects working under conditions of velocity head of external medium.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes coupling flat pylons which are coaxial relative to compartments and are connected by means of locks. Pylons of separable compartment are provided with fairings; each fairing is made in form of two doors embracing the lock at specified clearance between doors and pylon of main compartment. Said clearance reduces external excessive pressure exerted on fairing. Bases of doors are provided with lugs projecting beyond their shears; in coupled state these lugs are received by respective recesses found in pylon of separable compartment and are pressed by pylon of main compartment. At uncoupling of compartments, lugs escape from recesses, thus releasing the doors and throwing them under action of incoming flow.
EFFECT: reduction of aero or hydrodynamic resistance of vehicle; reduction of loads on fairing doors; impactless separation of doors.
