FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly fish protection devices used in water intake structures.
SUBSTANCE: fish protection device comprises fish arresting screen installed in the waterway and formed as hollow guiders arranged in several layers mounted across the waterway. The guiders have perforated orifices. The device also comprises perforated air duct arranged at waterway bottom in front of fish arresting screen and connected to pressurized air source, fish and dust removal gutter connected to fish diverting means and arranged in upper part of fish arresting screen and extending in parallel to air duct. Guiders are installed at an angle to free flow and are inclined towards water intake channel. The guiders form louver structure and are made as boxes with orifices in lower side facing waterway bottom. In accordance to the first embodiment the boxes are flat. In accordance to the second embodiment the louver system is provided with additional perforated air ducts installed inside the boxes and arranged in lower end part thereof. The perforated orifices of additional air ducts face waterway surface.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of young fish arresting and diverting outside the water intake structure.
