FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed air-jet diesel engine contains outer housing, inner housing fitted into outer housing, gas generator, afterburner, fan and reaction nozzle. Gas generator is made in form of similar rotary-vane four-stroke diesel engines divided into groups whose shafts are connected between groups by reduction gears and are connected inside group, by couplings. Front end of shaft of first rotary-vane diesel engine through shaft of dc generator which serves also is electric starter is connected with fan. Intake pipelines of rotary-vane diesel engines are connected with common intake manifold whose input is connected with air intakes, and output pipelines are connected with exhaust manifold whose output is connected with afterburner through leaf valve unit. Inner walls of afterburner are lined with refractory ceramic tile. Front, middle and rear multistage fans are arranged in second loop. Driven gear of each multistage fan is in meshing with corresponding drive gear secured on upper vertical shaft of corresponding reduction gear.
EFFECT: improved operating capabilities of engine.
