FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: diesel locomotive engine unit is made in form of rotary vane diesel engine consisting of six similar blocks. Spring-loaded rectangular hollow vanes are fitted in rotor slots. L-shaped accumulating chamber is made in rotor body between each pair of slots. Both inlet channels of said chamber are opened to side opposite to axis of rotation. Rotor shafts of each block are interconnected by clutches. Auxiliary drive gear is secured on front end of first shaft. Shafts of electric generator, fuel oil and water pumps are mechanically connected with shaft of first bock.
EFFECT: improved performance of diesel locomotive.
