FIELD: alumina process; autoclave leaching-out of bauxite.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in continuous pumping of bauxite pulp through autoclave plant at heating to reaction temperature by steam of thermoelectric plant in reaction autoclaves interconnected in upper part by means of bypass pipes. Pumping the pulp is performed with the aid of piston pump and steam-jet pump mounted in upper part of bypass pipes between reaction autoclaves and supplied with the same steam of thermoelectric plant.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to avoidance of pressure differential between head and tail autoclaves in pumping the pulp.
