FIELD: production of aluminum by electrolysis, apparatuses for maintaining aluminum cells.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cutting through periphery of self-firing anode of aluminum cell with upper electric current supply lead included self-propelled chassis, movable car with boom. Boom may be lifted and jointly extended normally relative to motion direction of car and it has working organ in the form of cutter with rotation mechanism for changing position of cutter in vertical plane. Cutter includes mechanism for extending it along its axis; said mechanism is in the form of hydraulic cylinder provided with gear wheel jointly secured to piston rod and engaged with two toothed racks. One of said racks is stationary; other rack is rigidly joined with cutter. Cutter is provided with servomotor for rotating it around its axis by 180° to both sides. Self-propelled chassis is provided with hydraulic drive unit for moving it.
EFFECT: possibility for radius working of anode angles, simplified maintenance of mechanism for moving cutter.
