FIELD: rolled stock production.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying article in the form of belt subjected to tension effort to angular sector of measuring roll having several test zones spaced one from other by some distance; mounting in each test zone pickup for transmitting measurement signal at each revolution under load; comparing transmitted signal with reference one for evaluating in each lengthwise zone of belt data defining tension effort applied to respective zone. According to invention two values (i1, i2) of signals transmitted by each pickup at condition without load before passing of respective test zone through angular sector of applying belt and after it respectively and reference value (i0) used for comparison with signal value (i) measured at load presence by means of each pickup are formed at each revolution due to combining signal values i1, i2 at condition without load. Reference value i0 may be formed as arithmetic mean value of values i1, i2.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measuring load distribution of rolled belt with elevated temperature.
