FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. The method includes supply of melted metal supported on the cast surfaces of the cast rolls, and rotation in opposite directions of the cast rolls to form the metal enclosures on the cast surfaces brought together in the contact zone for the cast strap supply downward with controlled quantity of the soft metal between the metal enclosures. In the check point downstream the contact zone the target temperature is determined for the cast strap corresponding to the set quantity of the soft material between the metal enclosures of the cast strap. Temperature is measured in the check point for the strap cast downstream the contact zone. Transmitter signal is generated, it corresponds to the measured temperature, and mandatory by the actuator the clearance is changed in the contact zone between the cast rolls as response to the transmitter signal received and processed to determine temperature difference between the measured temperature and target temperature.
EFFECT: control of the temperature jump and associated defects is ensured.
