FIELD: sugar industry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has horizontal trough-shaped reservoir divided into sections by vertical walls equipped with apertures for passage of juice from one section into another section. Shaft mounted within reservoir has diametrically arranged blades fixed in each section and adapted for mixing juice with reactant. Movable shutters are mounted on vertical walls within guides so as to change section of apertures and amount of juice delivered from one section into another section. Reservoir is equipped with branch pipes for supplying of diffusion juice and reactant and for discharge of predefecated juice. Apparatus of such construction allows required alkaline mode to be permanently maintained in each section of apparatus regardless of amount of product under process.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in carrying out of progressive preliminary defecation process and provision for producing of predefecated juice with improved sedimentation characteristics and structure of predefecated sediment.
