FIELD: aviation; flying vehicle instrumentation for facilitating sensing and processing of information.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement and display of flight parameters: altitude, speed, course angle, distance to runway, cross track error, as well as forming and display of signals of runway image and marks of glide pass range. Cross track error is formed and displayed at reverse sign in form of mark of reverse cross track error; in the course of approach to line of preset course, mark of reverse cross track error is held between runway and speed vector images; in flight over preset course line, mark of speed vector is held on reverse cross track error mark. Pitch and glide mark displayed on screen indicate deviation of glide path in altitude and range with reverse sign; on approach to descent glide path, pitch and glide path mark is held between speed vector and glide path range mark; at descent over glide path, aircraft speed vector mark is held on pitch and glide path mark. Deviation from course and glide path is indicated on pilot display relative to course and pitch dials with reverse sign, thus making it possible to match function of position bar and directive bars without display of runway axis.
EFFECT: exclusion of accurate zeroing of signals at considerable deviation from preset trajectory.
