FIELD: aviation; aircraft instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in performing descent by glide path at landing approach during 4th turn from arbitrary point at arbitrary heading, in the course of 4th turn and on final approach leg in automatic, director and manual control of flight. Before landing approach, the following flight parameters are determined: probable trajectory of flight with points of turn of flying vehicle at performing the maneuvers depending on parameters of flight and preset magnitudes of roll and angle of inclination of glide path, required altitude of flight for comparison with actual magnitudes and shaping of signal in navigational pilotage system. In performing the descent at landing approach, rate of descent is determined at minimum deviation of flight trajectory from landing glide path.
EFFECT: reduced noise level, distance and consumption of fuel at landing approach; enhanced safety of flight on instruments.
