FIELD: electric engineering, in particular, circuits and devices for lighting or activating high pressure gas-discharge lighting lamps, used for lighting industrial plants, offices, transport lines and other objects.

SUBSTANCE: device has two-winding pulse transformer, one end of secondary winding of which through electromagnetic throttle is connected to power grid, and primary winding is connected to contour, formed by accumulating capacitor and key element; also, device is equipped with two serially connected thermo-resistors, linked by appropriate capacitor, and block of resonance capacitors, while common point of contour, connecting accumulating capacitor and key element, is connected to one of outputs of lamp through additional chain of thermo-resistors, point of connection of which to output of lamp is connected to grid through block of resonance capacitors, and point of connection of electromagnetic throttle and secondary winding of pulse transformer is connected to another output of lamp. Block of resonance capacitors has at least one, but no more than ten, parallel-commutated capacitors with appropriate number of protective-discharging resistors, connected in parallel to each capacitor.

EFFECT: decreased losses in launch-adjusting equipment, decreased electric energy consumption, decreased oscillations of light flow from operating lamp and significantly increased lifetime of the same.
