FIELD: cleaning or keeping clear the surface of open water, particularly emergency timber collection in large water pools.
SUBSTANCE: boom is connected to bottom and waterside supports by load-bearing cables and comprises serially connected sections. Each section includes cylindrical pontoon with shaft and disconnectable ratchet gears installed at pontoon shaft ends. The sections are also provided with pivotally connected hydraulic cylinders and side cross-bars adapted to connect the sections to power-generating plant. Central boom part comprises insert provided with releasable connectors to permit ship passage.
EFFECT: extended range of technological capabilities.
