FIELD: cleaning or keeping clear the surface of open water, particularly emergency timber collection in large water pools.
SUBSTANCE: timber retention boom comprises a number of sections serially connected one to another and to waterside supports. Each section comprises two cylindrical pontoons rigidly secured one to another by bridges and frame. The frame extends at 30° to longitudinal pontoon axes. The pontoons are offset a distance equal to one-forth of pontoon body length one relative another. Timber retention boom also has hydraulic flow formers associated with hydraulic system. The sections are attached one to another by hinge connections.
EFFECT: extended range of technological capabilities.
