TILLAGE MACHINE Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01B49/02 

FIELD: tillage equipment used in agricultural engineering and forest amelioration.

SUBSTANCE: tillage machine has ballast box, frame, roller mounted at lower side of frame, and two-tier knife mounted rearward of roller. Roller is equipped with local soil deforming devices. Ballast box is disposed at frame top above roller so that its longitudinal position may be adjusted. Roller is furnished with U-shaped frame pivotally mounted on roller shaft and rigidly attached to hydraulic cylinder stem mid portion. Other end of hydraulic cylinder is pivotally attached to pole rigidly fixed to frame top rearward of roller. Hydraulic cylinder shaft is positioned at an acute angle to horizontal plane. Knife is composed of independent rotors arranged at upper and lower tiers. Each of rotors has disk with three horizontal knives pivotally fixed in equally spaced relation along disk rim. Upper tier has odd number of rotors and lower tier has even number of rotors. Lower tier is offset relative to upper tier by distance making half the diameter of disk, closer to roller. Rotors of lower tier are arranged in gaps between rotors of upper tier. Soil deforming devices are arranged in equally spaced relation along helical lines on roller surface and consist of acute-sharpened disks loosely put on shafts. Disk shafts are oriented tangentially to helical line at mounting points. Helical line pitch is 1/4 the length of roller circle. Upper parts of disk shaft brackets are sharpened similar to disks and are turned with their sharpened part to different sides of disks.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of tillage of soil.
