UNDERGROUND DUMP TRUCK Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B60P1/30 

FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed underground dump truck has chassis, front semiframe with fitted-on cabin connected by double joint with front semiframe, rear semiframe with fitted-on body installed for turning in vertical plane, two power cylinders with rods arranged at sides of truck body and hinge connected with rear semiframe and body. Body consists of two articulated parts, with hinge unit arranged in plane of body bottom. Part of hinge unit adjoining the cabin is installed for resting on rollers secured on rear semiframe for rotation. Second part of body is provided with rolls arranged after hinge unit for displacement along longitudinal guides in rear semiframe and is installed for resting and rotation on roller arranged in end of rear semiframe. Stops are secured on ends of guides of rear semiframe for engagement with rolls when the latter are aligned with roller, and stop limiting angle of body turning at unloading. Rods of power cylinders are mechanically coupled with part of body adjoining the cabin, sides of both parts of body are made beveled towards each other with relative overlapping.

EFFECT: increased carrying capacity of dump truck owing to increase of elongation of body without increasing its overall height at unloading and enlarged operating capabilities of dump truck used in working of confined height.
