FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; three-phase induction and synchronous machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed three-phase double-layer lap winding with 2p = 10c poles in z= 24c slots and coils grouped in row 2 2 1 2 1 repeated 3c times is made of 15c coil groups numbered 1G through 15(c)G and concentric coils having their mean slot pitch ys = 2, at integer number c = 1, 2, 3, ... Novelty is that in order to reduce differential dissipation σd of electrical-machine m' = three-band fractional-pitch (q = x/3p = 8/5) lap winding, two-coil groups 1G, 2G, 4G in first-grouping coil groups 1G through 5G have slot pitches ysi = 3, 1 of coils having turn numbers wc, (1 - x)wc, respectively, and single-coil groups 3G, 6G have slot pitches ys = 2 of coils with turn number (1 + x)wc at wc turns in remaining coil groups, mentioned distribution of coils with unequal turn number being repeated in each next grouping, where x = 0.61 is index of turn number inequality of phase groups.
EFFECT: reduced differential dissipation in electrical-machine fractional-pitch lap winding.
