FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; three-phase induction and synchronous machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed three-phase single/double-layer lap winding with 2p = 2c poles in z = 27c slots, q = 4/5, has concentric-coil groups 3 times uniformly offset through 2q = 9 slots with 2wc turns in each slot and c = 1, 2, 3, .... Novelty is that in order to reduce differential dissipation σd in m' = six-band fractional-pitch (q = 4,5) lap winding, each group has six coils with slot pitches ysi = 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8 and turn numbers wc/ 2wc, 2wc, (1+ x)wc, (1 - x)wc, respectively, at x = 0.13.
EFFECT: reduced differential dissipation in fractional-pitch lap winding.
