FIELD: railway transport; car retarders.
SUBSTANCE: proposed car retarder-clamp contains brake beams mounted at both sides of track rail by means of horizontal bolts on preliminarily spring-loaded vertical posts connected to each other and to track rail by cross tie-rods, and fastening units, outer and inner thrust bushings adjusting clearance between brake beams and arranged on cross tie-rods between vertical posts and neck of track rail, mechanism to shift retarder-clamp from inoperative to operating position, and system for remote control of its operation modes. Mechanism to shift car retarder-clamp from inoperative to operating position is provided with longitudinal tie-rods with fitted-on wedge-arranged between brake beams and vertical posts and thrust members mechanically coupled with manual or mechanical drive. Electric contacts of the latter are series-connected in remote control circuit through contacts of track relay and car fastening position relay. Outer and inner bushings are telescopically interconnected through thread.
EFFECT: possibility to control operation of car retarder-clamp and adjust clearance between brake beams at their wear without partial or complete disassembling.
