FIELD: transport and towing aircraft facilities engageable with flying vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes connection of flying vehicle with cable extended from air harbor, lifting the flying vehicle to altitude of its horizontal flight, starting the engines of flying vehicle, acceleration of flying vehicle and release of cable. Method of landing the flying vehicle includes connection of flying vehicle with cable at approach to air harbor, deceleration by extending and braking the cable and smooth lowering of flying vehicle on ground surface. Air harbor is located higher than altitude of flying vehicle horizontal flight. Guide secured to air harbor on side of ground is provided with drives connected with flying vehicle gripping facilities coupled by means of ropes. Simultaneously with acceleration of flying vehicle at takeoff, cable is extended from drive moving it over guide. Cancellation of horizontal speed of flying vehicle at landing is performed by moving the drive over guide.

EFFECT: enhanced safety of short takeoff and landing.
