ABRASION-RESISTANT COMPOSITE MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C08J5/16

Abstract RU 2270843 C1

FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials used in mechanical engineering, especially to composite materials suitable for manufacturing sealing members protecting machine and mechanism units against wear, including abrasive-containing media action. Material of invention is based on thermoelastic plastic and includes polymeric thermoplastic modifier and functional additive, namely product obtained by heat processing of metal-containing compounds with layered, framework, open-chain structure or crystal hydrates at 350 to 1300°C.

EFFECT: enabled preparation of abrasion-resistant material providing reliable operation under abrasive media and vibration conditions at temperatures at least -40°C.
