FIELD: chemistry; pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer materials science, namely to abrasion-resistant composite material for pipeline transport. Described is an abrasion-resistant composite material for pipeline transport based on low-pressure polyethylene PE2NT11, containing carbon fibres as a filler in amount of 0.5−1.0 wt.%. Carbon fibres are synthesized from ethylene during catalytic pyrolysis using Ni-Cu alloy; duration of carbon fibres synthesis does not exceed 40 minutes.
EFFECT: polymer composite material with high resistance to abrasive wear, improved physical and mechanical properties and melt flow index not lower than the initial grade of polyethylene.
