OIL WELL SWABBING METHOD Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E21B43/18 

FIELD: oil industry, particularly to develop oil well by swabbing thereof with the use of cable hoisting means.

SUBSTANCE: method involves reciprocating swab with instruments in tubing string to provide reservoir drawdown and to cause fluid inflow; partly overflowing fluid lifted by the swab into hole annuity; partly overflowing the fluid into vessel installed at well head; directing fluid from the hole annuity to jet pump arranged in tubing string below swab operation zone; determining dynamic fluid level in well and well output on the base of results of well swabbing and fluid inflow from productive reservoir accompanying it. The jet pump is installed at depth under which hydrostatic fluid column pressure provides admissible productive reservoir drawdown. The swab is lowered to lower point of travel thereof, wherein half of accepted travel thereof is equal to distance from maximal admissible depth of productive pump installation known from pump certificate to above lower point. Then the time is fixed, swab is lifted for height equal to accepted travel from above point and swab reciprocal movement is initiated to obtain constant fluid inflow from reservoir per time unit. Time is fixed once again and the swab is reciprocated at constant fluid inflow. After that volume of fluid produced from well and accumulated in the vessel at well head is determined and oil well output is calculated. The calculated output is interpolated for 24 hours. If the calculated output is less than predetermined one swab reciprocations are repeated to obtain above predetermined output value. Fluid from the vessel is periodically discharged and well output is determined with taking into consideration the discharged fluid volume.

EFFECT: increased fluid inflow and well output, increased accuracy of method realization.
