FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cardan joint comprises spider with pins and pair of jaws. Each of the jaws is made of semi-jaws which are provided with dummy bores for radial bearings and secured with bolts. The semi-jaws are additionally interconnected and preliminary stressed in the direction of the center of the cardan joint through the stop bearings that are set in the bores of the semi-jaws, nuts screwed on the connecting axial projections made on the faces of oppositely arranged pins of the spider to define triangle system for their locking together with the bolt joints.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
