FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: wheel chair is supposed to be used for transportation of handicapped and invalids suffering from wrong or lost function of support-motor system. It can be used as at home, sanatoriums, nursery homes and for going out along roads with hard cover. Wheel chair has side semi-frames with wheels which are connected one to another by scissor-shaped tubular members, seat, removable footboards with plastic support, back and elbow-rests. Wheel chair is provided with two double T-shaped units, two front and back arm pieces, four tractions and four locks, shock absorber, big driven bike wheels provided with mechanism for quick removal, small front rotary plastic wheels and arm pieces. Double T-shaped units connect two side semi-frames. Front and back arm pieces are mounted onto side semi-frames at areas where front vertical posts cross back ones - backs with top horizontal cross-members. Tractions and locks are mounted in pairs at one end of any central tubular member at top horizontal cross-pieces and are fixed together at the other end. Arm pieces are disposed in threes at any front vertical post and in pairs at top part of any external tube of removable footboards; there is lock mechanism mounted between footboards.
EFFECT: improved durability of structure; reduced weight and sizes; higher ergonomics; widened functional abilities; better comport at usage; simplified design.
