FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely apparatuses for mounting and rotating sectioned heavy large-diameter pipe branches of pipelines.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes rotary spindle mounted in housing; unit for fixing pipe branch; units (mounted in spindle and in holder) provided with electrically conducting members for connecting pipe branch to electric current source; supporting unit whose upper body is movable along height; bearing unit with roller and tubular beam. Rotary spindle is kinematically joined with unit for fixing pipe branch. Said unit includes housing and holder with clamps mounted in housing with possibility of rotation around axis inclined relative to lengthwise axis of spindle. One end of tubular beam is rigidly joined with rotary spindle, its other end is joined with body of unit for fixing branch pipe. Movable along height upper body of supporting unit carrying platform is mounted in supports of lower body with possibility of engaging with platform secured to tubular beam at arresting of spindle.

EFFECT: simplified design, lowered metal consumption of apparatus.
