FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions and methods of cleaning, clarifying, and/or enriching polluted drinking water with nutritive substances that can be utilized for personal or domestic applications. Compositions include basic coagulant, bactericide disinfecting substance, oxidizing system ensuring catalytic oxidation of dissolved Mn(II) into MnO2, cross-linking flocculant selected from group of anionic and nonionic polymers with molecular weight 2,000,000, alkali, and water-insoluble silicate at specified proportions of basic coagulant and flocculant.
EFFECT: enhanced water treatment efficiency to provide water with low quantities of disinfection by-products and characterized by long serviceable life and improved taste properties.
