FIELD: magnesium oxide particle aggregate with controlled particle structure useful in forsterite film-forming coating for anisotropic electrical steel annealing.
SUBSTANCE: magnesium oxide particle aggregate is disclosed. Aggregate has pore diameter corresponding to the first flex point on curve of total aggregate pore volume from 0.30x10-6 to 0.60x10-6 m; pore volume within particles from 0.50x10-3 to 0.90x10-3 m3/kg; and micropore volume from 0.04x10-3 to 0.11x10-3 m3/kg. In another embodiment magnesium oxide particle aggregate has interparticle pore volume from 0.80x10-3 to 1.40x10-3 m3/kg; pore volume within particles from 0.50x10-3 to 0.90x10-3 m3/kg; and micropore volume from 0.04x10-3 to 0.11x10-3 m3/kg. Coating for anisotropic electrical steel sheet annealing, containing magnesium oxide particle aggregate as well as annealed sheet also are disclosed.
EFFECT: anisotropic electrical steel with increased insulation and magnetic characteristics.
