SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a Fe-containing magnesium oxide powder and to a process for producing said powder. Magnesium oxide powder contains an element of Fe in an amount of from 0.03 to 0.20 % by weight. At least a portion of the Fe element has a cluster structure.
EFFECT: it is possible to obtain a magnesium oxide powder capable of limiting the deformation of the inner circular shape of the annealed roll and, in addition, to impart a sufficiently uniform appearance to the coating after annealing.
