FIELD: well drilling and operation, particularly means adapted to release free pipe string part from that stuck in well.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises composite body including upper and lower parts connected one to another by ball lock and free-fall valve seat. The ball lock is arranged in radial channel formed in the body and retained by plug. The seat is provided with container having specific weight lesser than that of flushing or displacing liquid. Outer seat diameter is less than inner diameter of through channel formed in body part upstream of the seat. Ball lock plug is hollow.

EFFECT: increased operational reliability, reduced unproductive time and decreased costs of breakdown elimination.
