FIELD: reconstruction of any existing mechanical-draft or chimney-type cooling towers.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in dismounting of outdated production equipment comprising nozzles and a sprinkler, overlapping of the whole section of the cooling tower by a metal diaphragm with holes, installation of Venturi nozzles in the mentioned holes, delivery of water is accomplished from a header through taps made in the form of pipes tangentially oriented to the upper part of the Venturi nozzles that serve as zones of intensive heat and mass transfer due to opposing-vortex motion of draining water flows and ascending currents of air.
EFFECT: reduced investments up to 30% at reconstruction of old cooling towers practically of any constructions, reduced service expenditures on the pump drive.
