FIELD: recovery of liquid radioactive wastes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for recovery of concentrated liquid radioactive wastes includes introduction of natural silicate sorbents into them in the amount of 0.15 - 0.60 kg per liter of concentrated liquid radioactive wastes resulting in production of first-type suspension. The latter is mixed up to homogeneous condition whereupon clay component and sodium silicate solution are introduced therein to obtain second-type suspension. The latter is mixed up and binder is introduced therein. Blend obtained is mixed up to homogeneous condition and introduced in molds. Tripoli is introduced in concentrated liquid radioactive wastes in the amount of 0.15 - 0.60 kg per liter of wastes. Suspension obtained in the process is mixed up to homogeneous condition whereupon Portland cement or Portland blast-furnace cement is introduced in the amount corresponding to solution-binder proportion of mixture of 0.4 - 0.9 kg/l type. Blend obtained is mixed up to homogeneous condition and introduced in molds.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of immobilizing wastes, reduced volume of solid wastes obtained.
